DOS To Increase Most Nonimmigrant Visa Filing Fees Including TN/TD Visas

Starting on April 13, 2012, the U.S. Department of State (DOS) will increase the filing fees for most non-immigrant visa applications.

Citizens of Mexico applying for TN visa or TD visa stamps at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate will now have to pay a filing fee of $160 per applicant instead of $140 (an increase of 14%). See 77 FR 18907, 18912 (March 29, 2012).

The DOS is also increasing the filing fees for H, L, O, P, Q, and R visas to $190. It is actually decreasing the filing fees for E visas (to $270 from $390) and for K visas (to $240 from $350). It is also decreasing the fees for immigrant visas.
