Basic Consultation Services Include:
- Review of immigration history, credentials, job offer, and short-term / long-term objectives.
- Verification that no U.S. immigration inadmissibility issues exist.
- Explanation of basic U.S. immigration system: family vs. employment; nonimmigrant vs. immigrant. Introduction to NAFTA.
- Analysis and discussion on whether job offer falls under one of the TN occupational categories.
- Analysis and discussion on whether credentials meet the requirements for the TN occupational category.
- Analysis and discussion on alternative non-immigrant worker categories.
- Explanation of process and best practices for filing TN application.
- Explanation of employment-based / family-based green card application process and analysis and discussion of eligibility, potential issues, and solutions.
- Discussion of employer / recruiter obligations under U.S. immigration laws and NAFTA.
- Follow-up discussion with employee, employer, recruiters not present during consultation.
- No time limit on consultation. No charge for subsequent, related follow-up questions.
Basic Consultation Fee:
Our fee for a basic consultation for a TN and/or green card application is $180 (to be paid in advance of the consult). In the event you decide to retain our firm to prepare your application or perform any additional legal services, the consult fee may be credited toward your legal bill. Please note that our consultation service only involves a review of your case as described above. The consultation does not include:
- Review of previously prepared immigration application documents.
- Review and/or analysis of prior denials, immigration violations, other inadmissibility issues.
- Drafting, writing, revising, or assiting with the preparation of documents or forms for an immigration application.
- Contacting U.S. immigration authorities to discuss and or reslove issues or accompaniment to the border to present any application.
