Basic Documentation for TD Status at Border:

• Valid passport or other evidence establishing Canadian citizenship.

• TD visa (if spouse or child not a Canadian citizen).

• Proof of eligibility for TD dependent status: evidence of relationship to TN professional (copy of birth or marriage certificate).

Documentation if Filing for TD Status through USCIS:

• Completed and executed Form I-539.

• Copy of valid passport face page or other evidence establishing Canadian citizenship.

• Proof of eligibility for TD dependent status: evidence of relationship to TN professional (copy of birth or marriage certificate).

• Copy of document evidencing current non-immigrant status in U.S. (e.g., copies of TD visa, I-94, I-797, I-20).

• Payment in the amount of $300 for I-539 petition filing fee.
